I love to send out business cards because it makes me feel so special and a little more like I’ve achieved something. I also love that they are easily customizable to my logo and design. The possibilities are endless.
That being said, to be honest, I’ve never really been a fan of the idea. The idea that you could make a completely customizable card seems cool, but I’ve never found a way to make them really stand out. I do, however, love the idea that with your logo on the front and the words “Cafe Business Cards”, anyone can go out and order a coffee or two with a card that says “I Worked at Cafe X.
I think the cafe business card is one of those ideas that needs to be scaled down a bit to just a few words on the front so they stand out. I’m not sure that is the only way to do it, but I think Cafe business cards might have a chance if they were more tailored to the actual logo and were put in a more unique package.
I don’t think I would want every cafe in the country to call me. I think Cafe X on my business card might be a little too generic. Maybe just something with my name on it. But in the same vein, I would love it if cafes across the country had a ‘work at cafe’ idea. If they can get their name on a card that says I Worked at Cafe X, it would be awesome. But I don’t think that is a good idea.
When I work at Cafe X, it’ll be a lot easier to use a card to mark the location of my cafe. It’s not like a card that says “You work at Cafe X”. It’s like you can get a card that says I work at Cafe X, but I have to work out how to mark it.
I think cafes should have a work at cafe idea. I’m not saying you need to have a coffee shop, and get a business card with your name on it. That’s cool. But I’m thinking that cafes should have a website where they put their name on some kind of business card that says “I Worked at this cafe.” That would be cool. I think it would also be cool if cafes started giving out their own business cards.
I actually had a hard time getting my cafe business cards to work. I called around and finally found a cafe that had business cards. The cards didn’t display correctly, so they didn’t work. But I have an idea that one could put an image on a business card that says Cafe X and link it to the website. The image could be a little different from the one you get at your cafe.
So far it seems like only a handful of cafes are putting business cards out. I’m not sure if it’s just because they don’t want you to have to go to the store or if they just don’t want the hassle of ordering from a catalog and printing them. If you don’t have a phone, or you don’t want to print your own cards, here is a list of some cafes that do business cards.
